๐Ÿฉบ surgwatch

Request-driven surgical video monitoring โ€” write what you want to be alerted about, in plain formal language, and the monitor watches the video for you.

How it works

Type a monitoring request in the condition language, for example:

alert when the clip applier appears
alert when bleeding starts after cauterization

The request is parsed into formal event semantics, compiled to a streaming detector, and evaluated causally over the procedure โ€” with a timeline and alert markers. No rewinding, no peeking at the future.

Why it matters

Surgical teams can't watch every feed at once. surgwatch turns "tell me when X happens" into a verified monitor โ€” built on the first open implementation of the SurgStreamer event-semantics formalism. 35/35 tests green.

Demo corpus is procedurally rendered synthetic video, not real laparoscopy. Real-video evaluation needs Cholec80 (signed data-use agreement). Research code, not a medical device.
